What the WoodBlack! Been working on a Faux Typeface with a lazer cutter for the next "Observations and Studies". A series of woodblock prints that chronicle "The Heroic Stories of the Taihekitron".
Mandalus is the third installment for the "Observations & Studies" series. It's based on a study of Tibetan thangka paintings. Originally, thangka painting became popular among traveling monks because the scroll paintings were easily rolled and transported from monastery to monastery. These thangka served as important teaching tools depicting the life of the Buddha, various influential lamas and other deities and Bodhisattvas. This collection of illustrations are a result of my fascination of the technique, precision and dedication put into original thangka paintings.
What makes the "Mandalus" issue different from the rest of the O&S books is that it comes with a soundtrack based on the illustrations themselves.
