Whiteboard Pong

Take a regular Whiteboard, regular Whiteboard markers and play PONG irregularly. What you are seeing is a real live demonstration of our physics based engine responding to it’s real life surroundings, the computer sees and recognises the black shapes on the whiteboard and the virtual ball behaves accordingly. From ENESS.

Monkey, Journey to the West

Monkey: Journey to the west is a stage adaptation of the 16th Century Chinese novel Journey to the West, by Wu Cheng'en. It was conceived and created by the Chinese actor and director Chen Shi-zheng, together with the British musician Damon Albarn and British artist Jamie Hewlett (the man Behind Tank Girl and Gorillaz). However, the original idea came from Jean-Luc Choplin, head of the Chatelet Theatre in Paris

I know its for the 2008 Olympics but its always great to see Jamie Hewlett's work come to life with out having to wait for a Gorillaz album to drop. Plus: try to count all the sport events that the all the character reenact.

Banksy's Petshop

Banksy opened the "Village Pet store and Charcoal Grill" in NYC. its gonna be up till Oct 31.

“New Yorkers don’t care about art, they care about pets. So I’m exhibiting them instead. I wanted to make art that questioned our relationship with animals and the ethics and sustainability of factory farming, but it ended up as chicken nuggets singing. I took all the money I made exploiting an animal in my last show and used it to fund a new show about the exploitation of animals. If its art and you can see it from the street, I guess it could still be considered street art."

Throwback sculpture from 06

"Sibyl" ceramic and acrylic

The word sibyl probably comes (via Latin) from the Greek word sibylla, meaning prophetess. (Other schools of thought suggest that the word may have come from Arabic.) The earlier oracular seeresses known as the sibyls of antiquity, "who admittedly are known only through legend" (Burkert 1985 p 117) prophesied at certain holy sites, probably all of pre-Indo-European origin, under the divine influence of a deity, originally one of the chthonic earth-goddesses. Later in antiquity, sibyls wandered from place to place.
